Lesson planning
How does your mentor write-up lesson plans? What do they do for formal observations? How do they plan weekly? Monthly? What is the long range plan?

Transitions
Think about how your class transitions between activities. Is your class different with you than your mentor? Are certain times of the day more challenging for the students, for you? What types of strategies have you tried?
I used to sing a song to let children know when it was meeting time. Once I began singing, they would automatically clean up their work and come to the meeting rug. What strategies work best for you?

Here are some things to think about
We will start seminar on the 13th at PELL, at 10. Please be on time -
I look forward to hearing about your joys in your classroom. Think about and event or something in your classroom that is really great. Be prepared to share.
We had our first Costa Rica meeting on Tuesday. If you couldn't attend but are still interested, please let me know. I will bring materials to class.
See you Monday.

September thoughts...
